Black Star: Cutting Food Like a Boss

It's Black Star's night to cook dinner, so he gets creative with his awesome skills to cut an orange and a carrot. He's one of my favorite characters from Soul Eater. (I actually really like Kid though too). Anyways, I tried to make the scene kinda funny. It's an interesting situation for sure.

Unfortunate story: (Well, not super unfortunate) I used a really awesome silver pen/marker to do some highlights that look really cool in real life, but just turned up as white when I took the photograph. Total bummer. You can see it on the accents on Black Star's outfit, the sword, the handles on the stove, the sink(It's pretty bad on the sink) and on the Academy.

Also: I probably shouldn't have gone for the tiles. They really show off how pathetic my proportions are. Regardless, I'm quite happy with it.

The window scene took me forever but it was totally worth it. I really tried to go for the details here, not artistic details but the details of the scene. I'm usually not one for backgrounds, but I tried to challenge myself here. It's been a while since I've drawn this style, and I kinda miss it. I suggest you look at fullview or these closeups as the window scene is actually pretty cool. (tooting my own horn again)

YAHYAHYAH Technically, one could say Tsubaki is in the picture, but you could also say that it's just a random sword. There's a possibility I won't be able to draw between tomorrow and the end of the contest, so I'm hoping it's okay.
